Положителното е:
Относително лесна модификация за друг двигател и колата става бърза, при това доста нереално за Трабант бърза.
Запазват се горните скорости, двутактовото усещане и се ползват ГДР компоненти.

Недостатъците са:
По-тежка предница - дори видимо едното колело при мен беше по-клекнало.
Вода вместо въздух за охлаждане - това лично според мен е недостатък, а вартбурговия двигател не се слави с много добро охлаждане. Всеки вартбург е страдал от водна помпа и ако го правех сега бих сложил водна помпа от циркулационна за парното на мерцедес и други. Вече на един вартбург сложихме такава и махнахме оригиналната - работи идеално.
Няма парно.
Разхода се вдига значително - поне при мен бе така.
